  • Ride share program offers incentives to Hill commuters

    Several Hill employees are saving money with the base public transit commuter program. The program, officially called the Transportation Incentive Program, has about 650 participants and more than 160 Utah Transit Authority vans that run on base. Vans have various pick up and drop off locations, including FrontRunner stations close to the base.   
  • Changes coming to G.I. Bill Transfer of Education Benefits for Guard, Reserve

    Effective January 12, 2020, the Department of Defense will issue a change per Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI) 1341.13, Post-9/11 GI Bill, updating its policy on the Transfer of Education Benefits (TEB) by service members to eligible dependents.
  • Pardon our dust: Hill's Satellite Pharmacy impacted by renovations

    Customers who use the Staff Sgt. Derek F. Ramos Satellite Pharmacy located inside the AAFES Base Exchange at Hill Air Force Base can anticipate some temporary changes as the Base Exchange undergoes a facelift this summer.
  • Air Force resumes large detonations at Utah Test and Training Range

    The Air Force will resume large detonation operations at the Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR) July 15 and continuing through the end of August 2019.

    The Top of Utah Military Affairs Committee, or TOUMAC, invites all active duty, Guard and Reserve military and family members to join them for the annual Military Salute Picnic Aug. 2 at Centennial Park.

  • LEGACY youth program builds interest in STEM careers

    An Air Force program designed to attract, inspire and develop the next generation of our nation’s scientific and technical workforce is underway at Hill Air Force Base. The LEGACY (Leadership Experience Growing Apprenticeships Committed to Youth) program is an Air Force program aimed at building interest in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) through summer craftsman camps and paid summer apprenticeships while showing how STEM applies to the world around us.
