  • AFOTEC stands up GBSD, ICBM detachment

    The Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center headquartered at Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., stood up Detachment 3 at Hill Air Force Base Oct. 1 to provide operational test and support for the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) and other related Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) test activities, including the ICBM fuze modernization and Mk21A reentry vehicle.
  • Satellite Pharmacy to resume indoor service Nov. 2

    In the 75th Medical Group’s continuing commitment to effectively and efficiently serve its beneficiaries, several changes have been made in regard to the Base Pharmacy. Beginning Nov. 2, the Satellite Pharmacy windows will reopen, while the Curbside Pharmacy will close.  To ensure speed of service and to allow for social distancing while maximizing the limited spacing in the Base Exchange, several measures will be implemented.
  • 729th Air Control Squadron Airmen return home from deployment

    Airmen assigned to the 729th Air Control Squadron were welcomed home by their unit and families Oct. 25 after nearly six months deployed to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. The squadron’s Airmen were dispersed to different locations in the AOR to provide 24/7 battle management and command and control of CENTCOM air space.

    The Top of Utah Military Affairs Committee funds military programs and events that simultaneously thank the nation’s military while offering a chance for the community to get to know about military affairs. Hill Air Force Base’s original military affairs agency was formed by a group of local business people associated with the Ogden Chamber of Commerce.

    HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah – On Oct. 22, 388th Fighter Wing pilots flew a four-on-six tactical intercept mission over the Utah Test and Training Range in the F-35A Lightning II, using sensors and stealth to take on the enemy.
