  • Initiative draws large feedback, widespread support

    The Air Force Materiel Command’s AFMC We Need initiative continues to make steady progress, with project teams completing phase two visits to AFMC operating locations this week. The initiative aims to identify both the areas in which the command excels as well as the challenges and opportunities for improvement across the mission footprint. Command-wide survey and interview findings will be analyzed to create a series of recommendations for AFMC leadership review and potential action at the conclusion of the study.
  • Soon-to-be officers get a taste of Air Force life

    Air Force ROTC cadets from around the country visited Hill Air Force Base this summer to get a taste of what Air Force life will be like after graduation. More than 80 cadets from nearly 60 colleges took part in a professional development training program called Operation Air Force.
  • Bunch to host online town hall

    Gen. Arnold W. Bunch, Jr., Air Force Materiel Command commander, will host a virtual town hall Aug. 8, 1 p.m. EST. The event will be livestreamed on the AFMC Facebook page with opportunities for personnel to submit questions for Bunch prior to and during the event.
  • Some flight ops continue despite HAFB runway construction

    Though the Hill Air Force Base runway has been closed for several weeks due to a major runway reconstruction project, that doesn’t mean that all flying operations had to be cancelled. Pilots from the 514th Flight Test Squadron needed to use the taxiway that runs parallel to the runway.
