    Like much of Hill AFB’s history, understanding what drove most of the operations at the installation during the 1980s can best be accomplished when considering it within a Cold War context. During the 1970s, tensions between the U.S. and U.S.S.R. eased during a period in the Cold War referred to as détente (a French word meaning release from tension).

    Tiffany Christensen works in the 414th Supply Chain Management Squadron as an ICBM lead item manager, ensuring that the nation’s strategic deterrent has all the parts it needs and training new item managers to forecast and compute buy and repair requirements to make sure parts are available. She is from Clinton, Utah, and her hobbies include coaching youth soccer, singing, camping and four wheeling with her family.  
  • Team Hill gathers for Unity 5K run/walk

    In response to current events across the country, members of the Team Hill community gathered June 19 for a Unity 5K run/walk event. Master Sgt. Karen Fisher, AFSA Chapter 1163 president, said Airmen from all walks of life were invited to come together as advocates for diversity, equality and inclusiveness.
  • Independence Day 2020: What's open and closed at Hill AFB

    Hill Air Force Base will observe Independence Day July 3 and celebrate an AFMC Family Day July 6. Many offices and services will be closed or have limited hours on these days.
  • 309th MXSG keeps employees safe, continues critical support to the Ogden ALC

    Like so many units at Hill, the 309th Maintenance Support Group has had to adjust its battle rhythm due to COVID-19. The unit is working extra hard to ensure other teams within the Ogden Air Logistics Complex can continue to support their critical missions while keeping employees safe from the coronavirus.

    The AAFES Main Exchange at Hill Air Force Base celebrated the graduation of seven local high school student employees June 15 for their hard work, dedication and commitment to stay the course during COVID-19.
