Senior enlisted leaders are highlighting quality of life as a cornerstone of military readiness, and facilities like the base Bowling Center are playing an important role in that mission.
The principle is outlined in a recent article, “Senior enlisted leaders stress quality of life, readiness,” on the Air Force’s official website. A resilient and focused force depends on the well-being of its service members and their families. This includes providing accessible outlets for stress relief and community building.
At Hill, the 20-lane Bowling Center serves as a hub for such activities. While it's a key gathering spot, it's also just one of the many amenities provided by the 75th Force Support Squadron. A wide array of programs and recreational opportunities are offered, such as golfing, outdoor recreation, and the Arts & Crafts Center, all designed to enhance the quality of life for Team Hill personnel and their families.
The base's commitment to these activities is also formalized through the Air Force's Unite program, which provides funds specifically for unit cohesion events. In 2025, units at Team Hill utilized nearly $30,000 in Unite funding to build camaraderie at the Bowling Center. It has proven to be a strong location for teams to connect outside the office, and with a full grill menu, it's also a great spot for lunch.
By offering a space for team building, recreation, and family connection, the Bowling Center contributes directly to the social and mental well-being of Airmen. Let's continue to make the most of this facility. Whether for a unit function or a family night out, your participation is what allows the Bowling Center to keep serving Team Hill.
