  • 84th RADES members support search and rescue mission resulting in two lives saved

    Arizona emergency responders were able to quickly locate a small plane which crashed in a sparsely populated area near Amado, Arizona, on Aug. 2, thanks in large part to the combined work of Civil Air Patrol’s volunteer National Radar Analysis Team.
  • Team Hill commemorates 20th anniversary of 9/11

    A commemoration of the 20th anniversary of 9/11 was held Sept. 10 at Hill Air Force Base. The ceremony served to remember the nearly 3,000 men and women and more than 400 emergency responders who lost their lives in 2001.
  • Giving service helps on Patriot Day or any day

    Volunteering in our local communities helps pay tribute to those brave men and women, first responders, and all others who defend our freedom. Service can be given any time, not just on Patriot Day, and there are several ways patriots at Hill can get involved.
  • 53rd Wing WSEP incorporates NucWSEP, enhances readiness for real world operations

    The 53rd Weapons Evaluation Group hosted air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons system evaluations at Hill Air Force Base from Aug. 16-27. The Weapons System Evaluation Program tests maintenance, aircrew, and weapons Airmen by evaluating the reliability and maintainability of aircraft weapons systems.
  • Hill suspends Trusted Travelers Program

    Hill Air Force Base is temporarily suspending its Trusted Traveler Program, following the base’s move to HPCON Bravo+.  
  • COVID-19 update: Hill AFB moves to HPCON B+

    On Sept. 2, the installation transitioned to Health Protection Condition Bravo + (HPCON B+). Over the course of the last month, we’ve seen a climb in COVID cases on Hill AFB, community transmission risk, hospitalizations, and percentage of the positivity rate. In response, we transitioned from HPCON Bravo to HPCON Bravo+
  • Ogden ALC gathers for annual car show and picnic

    Earlier this week, the Ogden Air Logistics Complex held its 13th Annual Picnic with an outstanding display of cars, trucks, and motorcycles as well as a vintage camp trailer and two vintage farm tractors. Employees with vehicles of all shapes and sizes took over the base’s Centennial Park Aug. 31 to participate in the car show. Some of the vehicles were as old as 1930 and as new as 2021.
  • Fall driving brings additional hazards

    Considering how hot it has been this summer, it’s hard to think of fall approaching, but in a short time we will be driving in more dangerous conditions. Daylight is becoming less, resulting in many of us driving to work in the dark. Driving during dark hours is more hazardous due to an increased driver reaction time.
  • Labor Day 2021: What's open and closed at Hill AFB

    Hill Air Force Base will observe an AFMC Family Day Sept 3 and celebrate Independence Day Sept 6. Many offices and services will be closed or have limited hours on these days.

    Women’s equality. It’s a challenge that has been around for years and continues to this day.  One hundred and one years ago, women had just gained the right to vote through the passing of the 19th Amendment, a right that had been guaranteed to others based on their gender.
