    The 2021 Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month campaign is “Protecting Our People Protects Our Mission.” This year the Hill Air Force Base Sexual Assault Prevention and Response office and our community partners are putting on a series of awareness and outreach events available to all personnel and families.
  • Utah ends tax on military retirement pay

    The state of Utah has become the latest to stop taxing military retired pay. On March 11, 2021, Gov. Spencer J. Cox signed Senate Bill 11 into law, providing an average annual tax savings to military retirees and their survivors of $1,315, according to the state’s budget office.
  • 75th SFS Military Working Dogs train

    Military working dogs train as much as their human counterparts. Explosive detection dogs are brought through a field course where detonated explosive making materials are placed in various places for them to sniff out. Drug detection dogs train in sniffing out drugs in vehicles, buildings and the field. Training also helps create the bond between handler and MWD. Here is a morning in the life of MWD’s training with their handlers from the 75th Security Forces Squadron.
  • Hill Airmen take part in virtual leadership development course

    Members of the 75th Air Base Wing, primarily from the 649th Munition’s Squadron, participated recently in a three-day Zoom seminar designed to instill leadership skills critical in facing workplace challenges and in creating a physiologically safe environment to discuss them.
  • Tinker organizations improve contractor safety by changing process

    Various units across Tinker Air Force Base are ensuring safety is a top priority for contractors, base employees and service members that work together on base. Implementing Art of the Possible combined with Continuous Process Improvement tools and techniques, members from the Air Force Sustainment Center, Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex and the 72nd Air Base Wing are making Tinker AFB a safer place to work by building clear expectations before contracts are signed, identifying gaps in safety plans and encouraging everyone in the workplace to speak out for safety. “There is unlimited potential when you involve all stakeholders in a process with a single focus on making an improvement,” said Connie Davis, OC-ALC strategic deputy director and AoP subject matter expert. “The resulting team is a powerful force for change and standardization.”

  • 75th OSS pays tribute to fallen Airmen with ‘Wall of Exemplar’

    As a way to remember those who have fallen and inspire others to carry on the warrior ethos, the 75th Operations Support Squadron recently established a "Wall of Exemplar" within the squadron’s Heritage Room, located in Hangar 1.

  • Motorcycle safety: Warmer weather means more motorcycles on roadways

    With occasional days of warmer weather and extra time on weekends, there have been more motorcycles on the roadways enjoying the break from winter. Motorcycles can be easily overlooked, so it is imperative for motorists be vigilant and look twice to see whether there are any oncoming motorcyclists.
  • Digital Directorate personnel earn top AFLCMC engineering awards

    Three members of the Digital Directorate, headquartered here, won 2020 individual Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Engineering Awards during a virtual ceremony Feb. 18.
