  • Hill contracting gives warm gift to Afghan evacuees

    The contracting directorate at Hill Air Force base conducted a warm, winter-clothing drive recently to gather donations for Afghanistan refugees arriving in Utah. Kaitlin Johnson, an Ogden Air Logistics Center Contracting section chief, contacted International Rescue in Salt Lake City and found out they were in need of warm, winter clothing to assist Afghan evacuees. With the help of the contracting directorate employees at Hill, Johnson was able to collect 171 winter coats and jackets along with numerous warm hats, gloves, scarves, socks and boots.

    The Air Force Services Center recently announced its 2021 Air Force Photo Contest winners. The winners – first, second and third place in five categories – were among more than 950 entries submitted for the annual competition. This year’s theme was “What a Wonderful World.”

    Last week, the Hispanic Heritage Committee closed out National Hispanic Heritage Month with a soccer skills challenge for some of Hill’s youth. Master Sgt. John Beever, 388th Munitions Squadron and council member, said soccer tradition in the Hispanic community brings people together and creates friendships.
  • Flu vaccination schedule for military members

    Flu vaccination lines for Hill’s military members will be held Oct. 18-21 at the Ambulance Bay located in the 75th Medical Group (building 570) main clinic. Both scheduled appointments and walk-ins will be accepted, but scheduled appointments will have priority.
  • AAFES opens new 'Bistro to Go'

    A new "Bistro-to-Go" Micro Market opened Oct. 14, 2021 in a software support facility in building 2721 at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. The self-service store offers a variety of food and drinks in the building's common area.
