Employment and Labor

The Labor Law branch of 75 ABW/JA represents and advises the Agency and its management officials in all of their personnel issues, including;

  • discipline of employees
  • relations with AFGE Local 1592
  • defense against complaints of illegal discrimination
  • accommodation of disabilities
  • prohibited personnel practices
  • Unfair Labor Practice charges
  • litigation before the EEOC, MSPB, FLRA, OSC, arbitrators, etc.
  • all other personnel policies and practices

Proactively, we also educate and train management how to avoid making errors in handling personnel matters that could lead to litigation and diminished mission accomplishment.  Our goal is to use our experience and expertise to assist management and its prerogatives to function within the bounds of law, rule, and regulation, so that Agency personnel are as productive as possible and the Air Force mission is unimpeded by distracting problems with personnel and union issues.
