HILL AIR FORCE BASE – The World Health Organization reports there are around a billion cases of seasonal influenza annually, including 3-5 million cases of severe illness. During most flu seasons, peak flu activity happens between December and February.

Although most people with the flu will recover without causing additional medical issues, it can cause serious illness and death, particularly among older adults, very young children, pregnant women, and those with certain chronic medical conditions.

Join Hill CHPS for any December health education class. We’ll discuss how to prevent the common cold and the flu and other various health topics to keep you healthy this flu season. You can attend a scheduled class or set up an event in your location.
