Team Hill,

As we approach the final week of the Combined Federal Campaign, please consider volunteering with or donating to any of the thousands of available CFC charities that rely on your donations to fulfill their missions and better our communities.

Since the establishment of the CFC by President Kennedy in 1961, it has grown to be the largest and most successful workplace charity in the world and there couldn’t be a better time to participate.

The challenges of the last few years have hit us all, with many feeling the effects of COVID-19, rising costs of living, and increasing economic pressures. Charities — like those participating in the CFC — have made the difference in the lives of our fellow Airmen and citizens. As federal employees, service members and military retirees, we keep serving the nation when we leave work.

It’s this generosity of spirit that defines us and is the reason why the federal community has come together to raise over $8.6 billion for local, national and international charities over the years.

When we started this year’s campaign, we set the Hill AFB fundraising goal at $162,000. That reads like a lot, but it’s only about $5 for every member of Team Hill. If we all decided to donate the equivalent of a fancy coffee, a few energy drinks, a couple gallons of gas, a few of the cheap fast food menu options, or volunteered an hour supporting those in need, we’d get to the goal. Since the Hill AFB campaign kicked off on Oct. 14, Team Hill has pledged approximately $105,638, far short of what we are capable of giving.

The Jan. 15 deadline to give is quickly approaching, but you can still make a difference. Be a “changemaker” by choosing to give; every gift makes a difference. And giving’s never been easier:

• CFC Giving Mobile App
• Payroll deduction
• Pledging volunteer time
• Visit mountainstatescfc.givecfc.org

No contribution is too small. Volunteer an hour or donate what you can. Either way, please join me in being the face of change before it’s too late.

Together we can make a difference! Donate by Jan. 15 and, as always, thank you for your continued service and generosity.
