In Spring 2023, Team Hill launched Project One, a multifaceted initiative designed to foster diversity and inclusion both on- and off-base. The mission of Project One is to increase mission readiness by creating, fostering, fortifying and sustaining enduring inclusive on-and off-base community in which Airmen and their family can comfortably thrive during their service at Hill Air Force Base.

Project One was created to help address the challenges Hill Airmen, uniformed and civilian, may face when trying to connect with a community or affinity group in the local area.

This LOE focuses on partnerships with local elementary, junior high, 
and secondary schools to enhance and support families’ sense of community and belonging.

LOE 3: College and Government Engagement

This LOE focuses on engagement with federal, state 
and local government organizations, and post-secondary schools. 

 

LOE 4: Community Engagement

This LOE focuses on engagement with organizations in the 
community, to include, but not limited to, chambers of commerce, community and corporate affinity 
groups.

Local communities play an important role in quality of life for Airmen as it in in these communities where they and their families shop, eat, work and live. Project One provides an avenue where Hill personnel can work together with partners throughout the area to address the issues of inequity and discrimination.

LOE 5: Religious and Spiritual Engagement

By partnering with congregations of all beliefs, this LOE focuses on engagement with religious and 
spiritual communities.
