Default Air Force Logo Hill Aerospace Museum announces special ‘Plane Talk’ speakers for April 2017
The Hill Aerospace Museum at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, hosts a Plane Talk series featuring speakers related to the heritage of Hill Air Force Base, the United States Air Force, other military branches and many other subjects related to aerospace and the defense industry. Plane Talk takes place on Saturdays at 1 p.m. in the museum auditorium. Everyone is invited and admission is FREE!

Forty years ago, the United States Air Force announced that the 388th Fighter Wing would be the first unit to transition to the F-16 Fighting Falcon, now more commonly known as the Viper. Thirty-eight years ago, the first operational F-16A took to the skies here and the Viper has been slipping the surly bonds of earth over Utah ever since.

Jamal Braxton, the 2017 Operation Homefront Air Force Military Child of the Year Award recipient, has excelled in multiple varsity sports at Northridge High School in Layton and holds a bright future with his acceptance into the U.S. Air Force Academy, but Braxton likes to focus most on his experiences as a volunteer with the Red Cross and the Airmen and Family Readiness Center while living abroad in Germany and during his last three years living here.

Officials from Hill Air Force Base, the Northrup Grumman Foundation, and the National Math + Science Initiative applaud after presenting multiple checks totaling $1.7 million for STEM education in the Davis School District during an event held at Syracuse High School, Utah, March 17, 2017.
