  • Hill Aerospace Museum looks to expand community educational partnerships with a new aircraft restoration facility

    A new aircraft restoration and maintenance facility has recently been completed and turned over to the Hill Aerospace Museum. This newly constructed building came about through the Falcon Hill enhanced use lease, or EUL, program and replaced the museum's previous restoration facility, an old and weathered warehouse near the new Northrop Grumman facility located next to the base’s Roy Gate.

    A new “local heroes” exhibit featuring the aviation career of retired Utah Sen. Jake Garn was recently unveiled at the Hill Aerospace Museum. Museum Director Aaron Clark said intent of the local heroes exhibits are to preserve the rich heritage of Utah’s Airmen heroes from any era and from any position, who made a significant contribution to the Air Force or who had a significant aviation career.

  • Museum features ‘Plane Talk’ lecture series in October

    The Hill Aerospace Museum will host a “Plane Talk” speaker series Saturdays at 1 p.m. in the museum auditorium. Each week, guest speakers feature topics related to the heritage of Hill AFB, the U.S. Air Force, other military branches, and many other subjects related aerospace and the defense industry. The speaker series is open to the public and admission is free.
  • Hill Aerospace Museum to host Open Aircraft Day

    The Hill Aerospace Museum is hosting its annual Open Aircraft Day from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 29. Admission is free and open to the public.
