  • EFMP-FS holds bowling event for families

    EFMP-FS started off the year with two bowling events at Hill Air Force Base’s bowling center where families, and even a service dog, got to bowl, have fun, and connect with other families on base who also have dependents with special needs.
  • Hill lieutenant works overtime to achieve goals

    2nd Lt. Laketa Fludd, an acquisitions program manager with the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, was told by her recruiter that becoming an officer would simply be a matter of applying. After all, she met all the requirements, including a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. She began pursuing this course in 2008, but soon learned the Air Force was eliminating officer positions, and not looking to bring in new officers at the time. She didn’t let that setback deter her from pursuing her dream.

    The 75th Air Base Wing recently presented awards to its top military and civilian Airmen. They were recognized by leadership during the wing’s annual awards ceremony Jan. 25 at The Landing.
  • SAPR hosts combating trafficking in persons event

    The Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office hosted a combating trafficking in persons event Jan. 17 in the Chapel Fellowship Hall on Hill Air Force Base. The purpose of this event provided an opportunity for both base personnel and community partners to increase their awareness and emphasize the importance of combating trafficking in persons prevention.

    The fourth edition of the Air Force Reserve Profiles in Leadership featuring 16 Reserve Citizen Airmen, went on display in the Pentagon Dec. 14.
  • Hit the bullseye at the Archery Club

    Hill Air Force Base’s Archery Club is the place to go to become part of a sport that has been around for thousands of years. “We are a hidden gem in the corner of the base,” said Robert Tracy, president of the club. “We know there are people out there that shoot or would like to learn how and they have no idea we even exist.”
  • New egress facility bolsters production capabilities, fifth-gen aircraft support

    The 576th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron officially opened the doors of its new egress repair facility Dec. 10.
  • 34th AMU Airman recognized with Top 3 award

    Staff Sgt. Jordan Jones, an F-35A crew chief from the 34th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, was recently recognized with the Team Hill Top 3 Superior Performer Award.
  • ICBM Systems Directorate Airman receives scholarship

    Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center ICBM Systems Directorate employee Jeff Smith was awarded a $1,000 scholarship by the Logistics Officer Association this month.
