    Lt. Gen. Gene Kirkland visited Hill Air Force Base this week. It was his first trip to the installation since taking command of the Air Force Sustainment Center Aug. 7.

    A Paralympic Archery Training Camp was held at Hill Sept. 24-28. The training camp was part of the Paralympic Military Program, which assists wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans, including those with amputations, brain injuries, and visual impairments.

    Twelve active-duty officers, including one from Air Force Materiel Command, were recently selected to attend the Inter-American Squadron Officer School, or ISOS, at the Inter-American Air Forces Academy, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, with the first of three classes starting in October

  • Center showcases innovation efforts

    The Air Force Sustainment Center is setting the pace in many areas of efficiency and innovation, according to Dr. Will Roper, assistant secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics. Roper saw AFSC processes in action when he visited AFSC headquarters Sept. 13.
