HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- Updating your contact information might feel like a small task, but it ensures you receive important alerts about emergencies, weather delays, gate changes and other situations that can affect your day. Keeping this information current helps the installation communicate quickly and effectively when it matters most.
All base employees can update their personal emergency contact information in Hill AFB's AtHoc mass notification system.
AtHoc Mass Notification
AtHoc, managed by the Hill AFB Command Post, provides rapid alerts during emergencies or other events that may affect the installation. From fires to earthquakes, accidents or active shooter situations, critical notifications can be delivered directly to employees through phone calls, text messages, emails or pop-up alerts on government computers.
While military members and non-bargaining civilian employees are required to provide an after-hours contact number or personal email, all Hill AFB personnel can update their information and opt in. Broad participation ensures the installation can reach as many people as possible during time sensitive or life safety events, as well as practical situations such as emergency road or gate closures, severe weather, delayed reporting and other alerts that can affect access to the base or daily operations.
Employees can also add dependents to their AtHoc profile, allowing family members living on or near the installation to receive timely alerts about emergencies or urgent situations that may affect them.
How to update your AtHoc contact information
1. On a government computer, click the AtHoc icon (the purple globe on the right side of the taskbar) and select “Access Self Service.”
2. A secure browser page will open and prompt you to select your certificate. You will then be asked to acknowledge that you are accessing a U.S. government system.
3. You will be directed to your AtHoc profile page, where you can update your user information, including delivery methods such as desktop alerts, mobile text, email and phone. In this window, personnel can also opt in to receive notifications for specific roles, such as the Emergency Operations Center or Crisis Action Team, if applicable.
4. Click the “Save” button in the bottom right corner when finished.
