HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- The 75th Medical Group Pharmacy is encouraging TRICARE beneficiaries to use the ScriptCenter kiosks located inside the Hill AFB Exchange.
These kiosks offer expanded pharmacy access, allowing prescription pick-up during weekends, holidays (excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas), and weekdays after hours until 7 p.m. or anytime the Exchange is open.
Prescriptions that require refrigeration must still be picked up from the pharmacy counter.
"The ScriptCenter kiosks at the BX are designed to make prescription pick-up more convenient for our patients,” Maj. James Holt, 75th MDG’s Pharmacy Flight commander. “Available during all BX operating hours, these kiosks provide an easy and efficient way to access medications, even after regular pharmacy hours and on weekends. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this service to save time and simplify their pharmacy visits."
Patients can register for the kiosk using a user ID or PIN, or use the "Single Prescription Access" function with an active prescription number. The ScriptCenter also allows users to create a profile and link family members, making it easy to pick up all family members' medications at once. Prescriptions are ready by 10 a.m. the following duty day and must be picked up within 10 duty days.
There are three easy ways to request your meds in the kiosks:
- Text “Get in line” to 1-855-792-9010
- Select Option 2 from the Pharmacy’s phone menu
- Tell a pharmacy technician you want your meds in the kiosk when activating prescriptions
Due to budget and staffing reductions, the Satellite Pharmacy at the Base Exchange closed on Nov. 15.
New prescriptions and refills will only be available for pick up at the BX ScriptCenters or the 75th Medical Group's Main Pharmacy.
Additionally, Remote Pharmacy Check-In using the Q-Anywhere texting service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for activating new prescriptions or requesting refills.
“The texting service and the kiosks have been an integral part of our services as it allows patients to interact with the pharmacy and access services during pharmacy non-operational hours,” Holt said.
