HILL AIR FORCE BASE – Team Hill members are invited to join together on Sept. 9, as we commemorate the 21st anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks.
September 11, 2001, was one of the darkest days in our country's history, with nearly 3,000 people killed. Former President George W. Bush declared that "terrorist attacks can shake the foundation of our tallest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America."
Team Hill will be hosting a "Walk/Run/Ruck" 5K starting at 7 a.m. at the Running Track with opening comments from Colonel Peter P. Feng, Vice Commander, 75th Air Base Wing.
Following the 5k, a ceremony in Memorial Park, just south of the Airman and Family Readiness Center, will commence at 10 a.m. with Colonel Jeffrey G. Holland presiding.
Please join us in remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice as we honor our fallen first responders and the victims of this horrific event in American History.
