The 75th Force Support Squadron's chant during award ceremonies, commander's call, and other public events is We Do That! In 2013, we lived by that motto and had a very rewarding year.

This year we set the standard at command and Air Force. Our changes in military personnel processes led to our Military Personnel Section (MPS) being ranked #2 of 40 large bases in the Air Force and #1 of 8 in Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC). Our Information, Tickets, and Tours (ITT) office was #3 in the Air Force and #1 in AFMC with over $1 million dollars in sales for the fiscal year! The squadron's Marketing program, along with our Professional Development Program, was named BEST in command, both, for a second year in a row. The Bowling Center came back from brink of extinction with a solid program that was also recognized as BEST in command.

Innovation and support took center stage as we rolled out our new 75 FSS.com website. The website introduced a new online reservation program for all of our events that made it easier for our customers to sign up for event and activities. It has a redesigned menu that makes access to our facilities and events much easier to navigate, just a click away. We set attendance records at our Western Family Campout, Haunting around the Hill, Wing Expo, and Easter Egg Hunt events. The introduction of the pre-deployment line significantly reduced the time deploying members spent processing. We cultivated local agreements with area colleges to allow interns to work alongside professionals at various base agencies and receive valuable on-the-job training and experience. Additionally, we signed a joint partnership between two local visitor bureaus and Lodging that provides travelers a comfortable place to stay whether they are moving or visiting Hill.

We are building a better base with our reinvestments and renovations. Our Outdoor Recreation activity reinvested $400K into new services and equipment. They built a brand new resale operation at Carter Creek and purchased four power boats, kayaks, and bikes for our customers to enjoy. We also have a new $900K softball field, additional lighting along the base running trail, a new playground at Centennial Park, and $260K in new cart paths at the Hubbard Golf Course. Also, The Landing re-opened after a $500K renovation of the kitchen, foyer, and enlisted lounge. An additional $100K renovation of the Wasatch room is ongoing and should be complete by the Spring. Renovations began on $250K upgrade of the Golf clubhouse, which will be completed before the 2014 season starts.

On top of all of these accomplishments, the FSS family grew this past year. We welcomed over 100 former DP members and now the FSS portfolio includes the Civilian Personnel Section, the Manpower and Organization Section, and civilian training.

Our FSS team is proud to serve the 50K+ military, civilians, retirees, and their families we support every day. We are able to "Do That" with your support and look forward to achieve "Art of the Possible" results in 2014!
