HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah – In recognition of her support to Hill Air Force Base, Dr. Ann Millner received the prestigious Community Wingman Award.

The award, which has been presented annually to members of the community since 2007, recognizes those who have made significant service contributions to the installation. She was presented with her award at the Hill Aerospace Museum during Hill’s Air Force Ball and birthday celebration Sept. 18.

Millner’s sustained efforts over her career in public service has delivered superior support for Team Hill.

As a former Weber State University president, she positively impacted Hill’s Airmen and Guardians by advancing continuing education, community outreach, and university relations.

She helped build more-well-rounded service members and civil servants by offering programs that targeted the training and developmental needs at Hill.

Also during her tenure at Weber State, she increased funding available to Team Hill, allowing WSU to offer certificate and associate degree programs on base.

Currently, as a Utah State Senator, Milner continues her strong advocacy for growing technical training geared toward expanding expertise focused on the sustainment and acquisition missions performed at Hill AFB.

Most recently, she prepared and sponsored legislation targeting additional support for military family education, emerging technology talent initiatives and strategic workforce investments.

Millner’s contributions over these past decades created thousands of growth opportunities for all Team Hill members.
