  • Faster, smarter: virtual hiring fair recruits STEM talent

    In conjunction with the Air Force Personnel Center, the Air Force Materiel Command held a virtual hiring fair April 23, to fill open science, technology, engineering and mathematics positions across the command. This was the third virtual hiring event held by AFMC over the past year, part of an ongoing effort to leverage in-person and online recruiting events to reach large number of candidates for open opportunities.

  • AFMC standardizes on-boarding, civilian acculturation

    New civilian employees can expect to get on the job faster as a result of a new, standardized Air Force Materiel Command Civilian Acculturation Program. The acculturation program aims to decrease on-boarding time while increasing effectiveness, ultimately setting employees up for success.
  • AFMC to host Virtual Career Fair

    The Air Force Materiel Command, in conjunction with the Air Force Personnel Center, will host a Virtual Career Fair Dec. 17, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. EST. The event will focus on filling more than 100 vacancies across the command in career fields to include contracting, financial management, force support, information technology, intelligence, logistics, medical, program management, public affairs, safety and security.
  • College students invited to apply for Air Force paid internships

    The Air Force Life Cycle Management (AFLCMC) logistics community at Hill Air Force Base is entering the second year of the Premier College Intern Program (PCIP) for qualifying college juniors interested in a paid summer internship beginning May 2020 that could lead to a fulltime developmental position after graduation.

    The Air Force Sustainment Center has a new website, afscciviliancareers.com, aimed at easing the process of recruiting and filling positions using direct and expedited hiring authority. “The AFSC wanted to develop a site that was a repository for collecting resumes from applicants to fill positions covered by DHA/EHA,” AFSC Director of Personnel

  • More than 60 job offers made since Hill AFB hiring event

    More than 60 job offers have been made since Hill Air Force Base held a hiring event in March. The event held at the base’s museum focused on hiring civilian scientists and engineers. Nearly 40 programs conducted more than 600 interviews from the hiring pool of journeyman candidates and about to be college graduates.
  • Hanscom hangs out ‘help wanted’ sign for engineers

    Program Executive Office Digital has about 40 engineering vacancies at six locations, and PEO Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence and Networks has about 35 engineering vacancies at three locations. The federal hiring process requires a longer onboarding timeline than private industry, so Lee’s office must get creative to recruit and land the best candidates in a tight job market.
