    Annual Christmas tree lighting activities here are always fun events for base families and friends. Organized by 75th Force Support Squadron, these festivities are held each year in the parking lot at the Arts & Crafts Center.

    Employees from the 75th Civil Engineer Group Natural Resource Program, along with volunteers, planted hundreds of wildlife-friendly seedlings on the base’s north side, Nov. 9, 2017.
  • 729th ACS welcomes next-gen C2 system

    Oct. 23, 2017, marked an important milestone for the 729th Air Control Squadron. After several months of planning, construction, and relocating equipment, the 729th ACS cut the ribbon on their new tactical operations center housing the next generation AN/TYQ-23A weapon system.
  • Hill F-35s deploy overseas for second time

    Twelve F-35A Lightning II aircraft and approximately 300 Team Hill Airmen from the active-duty 388th Fighter Wing and Reserve 419th Fighter Wing here departed Oct. 30, 2017, for a six-month deployment to Japan.
  • Hill Aerospace Museum progressing on major projects

    The Hill Aerospace Museum here is working on two major projects, a static display restoration of an F-16 test aircraft and a C-130 aircraft fuselage which will become an interactive classroom.
  • 729th ACS returns

    Sixty-one Airmen assigned to the 729th Air Control Squadron returned home Oct. 25, 2017, after spending more than 180 days deployed to the U.S. Central Command area of operations.

    While driving past a building that has hundreds of containers stacked behind it on the west side of Hill AFB, you may have wondered, “What is that all about?” The personnel in building 1160 have a special mission supporting the warfighter.
