    This week we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day, and Hill Air Force Base is dedicated to the development and implementation of energy resilient projects that compliment Earth Day objectives.

    As 2019 comes to a close, base personnel are encouraged to see energy action as more than a month-long effort. Whether championing projects that optimize aviation fuel use, or encouraging Airmen to make smart energy decisions at individual installations, the goal is to foster a culture that prioritizes energy optimization and water management year-round.
  • Air Force plans prescribed burn on Utah Test and Training Range

    The Air Force plans a prescribed burn Oct. 8-11 on the Utah Test and Training Range’s North Range, which is located north of Interstate 80 between Wendover and Tooele. Travelers on I-80, near Exit 62, may notice fire and smoke during that burn period.

    October is Energy Action Month, and an opportunity for Hill Air Force Base to highlight why energy is a critical enabler for the service.
  • Kickin’ It for Conservation a rain or shine event

    Families gathered at Centennial Park Aug. 8 for the fourth annual Kickin’ It for Conservation energy and environmental fair. Although officially celebrated in April, the event served as the base’s commemoration of Earth Day and was an opportunity for children and adults to learn how to conserve energy and protect the environment.

    The Arbor Day Foundation has awarded Hill Air Force Base the Tree City USA designation for 26 years in a row.

    The 75th Civil Engineer Group’s Energy Management Office and Environmental Management Branch invite Hill Air Force Base’s military, civilians, retirees and families, of all ages, to the fourth annual Kickin’ It for Conservation, an energy and environmental fair, 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Aug. 8.
  • Hill AFB earns Tree City USA designation for 25th year

    For the 25th year in a row, Hill Air Force Base has been named a Tree City USA for its commitment in keeping the base green with trees.

  • Electric hybrid vehicle arrives at Hill

    In an effort to help reduce its carbon footprint, the 75th Civil Engineer Group Environmental Branch recently acquired a new electric hybrid vehicle.
