  • UTA offers special fares for Hill Air Show

    Organizers are encouraging those planning to attend the Warriors Over the Wasatch Air and Space Show June 23-24 to use public transportation. Admission to the show is free, but because of traffic and limited parking, organizers say UTA is the best way to get to and from the show.
  • Special fares for UTA’s FrontRunner service on sale for Hill's Air and Space Show

    The "Warriors Over the Wasatch" Air and Space Show will return to the Top of Utah June 23-24 and Utah Transit Authority will provide Frontrunner service both Saturday and Sunday. A special $5 round-trip fare went on sale today via UTA’s GoRide mobile app. There is also a $15 UTA group pass (up to four people) available for purchase on the UTA website, vending machines or UTA customer service centers. Both fares allow for travel on FrontRunner, TRAX, Streetcar and local bus.

    On June 23-24, Hill Air Force Base with the tremendous support from The Utah Air Show Foundation, will host the “Warriors Over the Wasatch: The Legacy Continues” Air and Space Show and feature U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. In addition to the numerous world-class aerial acts and wide variety of static displays, this year’s event will also feature a STEM City.

    Emergency response personnel from Hill AFB and the surrounding communities came together May 9 to test their ability to jointly respond to a major accident. The exercise will be held on Hill AFB in preparation for the Warriors Over the Wasatch Air and Space Show coming up June 23-24.

    Twenty-seven Hill maintainers and accompanying support equipment loaded into a C-17 Globemaster III Oct. 13, bound for Northeast Asia’s largest air show to support the F-35A’s first time on Asian soil. Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition, also known as Seoul ADEX 17, offers a venue to deepen U.S. relationships with the Republic of Korea and enhance regional security while also giving 388th and 419th Fighter Wing maintainers a sense of interoperability and cultural awareness by working in another country. “With this temporary duty, we gain an increased understanding of how other platforms and countries conduct maintenance and daily operations,” said Lt. Col. Jennifer Phillips, 388th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron commander. “Boots on ground in a location other than home gives us breadth and increased understanding we’re able to pass onto peers, subordinates and leaders alike for application in future movements.”
