• JASDF general tours F-35A at Kadena

    Japan Air Self-Defense Force Maj. Gen. Koji Imaki, Air Defense Command, Defense and Operations Division chief, and other members of the JASDF received a up-close-look at a U.S. Air Force F-35-A Lightning II during a tour Jan. 12, 2018, at Kadena Air Base, Japan.

  • Gunfighters complete first F-35 transport

    An F-35A Lightning II belonging to Luke AFB, Ariz. was moved for repairs after being grounded here for the past year. The aircraft was moved to the F-35 Depot at Hill AFB, Utah, with the help of the 366th Equipment Maintenance Squadron crash and recovery team.

  • Hill F-35s deploy overseas for second time

    Twelve F-35A Lightning II aircraft and approximately 300 Team Hill Airmen from the active-duty 388th Fighter Wing and Reserve 419th Fighter Wing here departed Oct. 30, 2017, for a six-month deployment to Japan.

  • Final operational F-16s depart Hill AFB

    The last six operational F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft lifted off from the runway here Sept. 21 at approximately 11 a.m. on their way to Holloman AFB, New Mexico, where they will continue flying.

  • Hill AFB, UTTR evaluation exercises close

    Evaluation exercises Combat Hammer and Combat Archer ended August 18 at Hill AFB and the Utah Test and Training Range. Both are part of the Weapons System Evaluation Program, or WSEP.
