Open Aircraft Day at Hill Aerospace Museum
More than 9,000 people attended Open Aircraft Day Sept. 21 at the Hill Aerospace Museum. The event showcased 16 museum’s aircraft, including the newly acquired F-22 and F-117, which had open displays allowing for attendees to view inside the cockpits. In addition to viewing aircraft, guests heard from speakers Joe Chew, former F-22 crew chief, and Lt. Col Philip “Stonewall” Johnson, commander of the 514 Flight Test Squadron.
