Meghan Szwarc, 75th Air Base Wing deputy commander, and Ivy Bates, Hill Installation Management Division chief, shovel dirt onto a newly planted tree during a Tree City USA proclamation event at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, Sept. 27, 2023. The base was designated a Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation for the 30th consecutive year. Hill’s Natural Resources Program manages over 13,000 trees of more than 100 different species.
