Charles Walsh
Ogden greatly desired an aerial event that would bring them into the aviation business arena, and Dr. H. M. Rowe of the Four-State Fair Association was assigned the task of acquiring such an event. Contacting the Curtiss Aeroplane Company, Dr. Rowe negotiated the services of aviator Charles F. Walsh to appear at the Fair. Walsh had been performing at County and State Fairs in the East, sort of a “flying advertisement” for the Curtiss Company.
