In October 2007, Hill AFB volunteers picked up pieces of an F-4 that crashed into a Utah mountainside 30 years ago. The Air Force was asked to clean up the site, located on the property of the Goshute Indians, during one of Hill AFB’s regular consultation meetings held with 19 local American Indian tribes. These consultation meetings and other environmental efforts earned the 75th Civil Engineer Group Environmental Division recognition as the best “Environmental Quality Team in the Department of Defense.” (U.S. Air Force Photo by Senior Airman Clayton Murray)
