During the Utah Department of Transportation's (UDOT) recent SR-193 construction project, design improvements were made to SR-193 from South Gate Boulevard. As part of the enhancements, UDOT extended the dedicated "free right" turn lane for southbound to westbound turn movements from South Gate Boulevard onto SR-193. With this free right turn lane, it remains legal to turn right from South Gate Boulevard onto SR-193 without stopping. Drivers must still yield -- that means slow down and prepare to stop for pedestrians and bicyclists at the existing crosswalk -- but can keep motoring if the roadway is clear. Patricia Barson, middle, and her sister Ashley, speak to the media after Patricia was honored today as one of the Department of Defense’s Outstanding Employees with a Disability. Patricia was selected for the award from among AAFES 32,000 worldwide employees. The twins were the second set of conjoined twins, fused at the cranium, to survive a separation surgery.
