Meet Jacqueline “Jacque” Brown, process improvement subject matter expert for the 309th Electronics Maintenance Group with the Ogden Air Logistics Complex at Hill Air Force Base. Jacque’s journey with the Air Force and the began in 2001 in the SCP intern program as an electronics mechanic. She has been working for the OO-ALC for nearly 24 years and says she “has the best job in the Air Force”.

Jacque calls North Ogden home; however, she spent most of her childhood in Kaysville. She has been married to her husband, Jason, for 27 years and they have two children. She has spent the majority of her life in Utah, apart from a two-year stint where she worked for the 525th EMXS located at Kadena, Japan.

Being a lover of the outdoors, her favorite things to do in Utah are hiking, camping, and kayaking. And while she and enjoy spending time together doing outdoor activities, they also have interesting hobby: brewing beer.

“We can make five gallons of beer in approximately three hours at a cost of about $30-$40," she said. "Making beer is a fun activity where we can be outside, and we can do it together.”

Jacque likes to play with different yeasts and hop builds to create different flavors. She and her husband once entered a beer making competition and ended up taking the gold medal in their division. They have also tried their hand at making wine, but Jacque said the process for making wine takes a bit longer than the process for beer. When she is not making her own beer, she likes to visit some of the local breweries in the area. Some of her favorite breweries include TF Brewery in Salt Lake City, and Talisman in Ogden.

Jacque really enjoys her job.

“I like helping people and fixing things," she said. "I went from being a planner and fixing assets, to helping people find solutions to fix major problems. It’s a great job!” She strives to always keep a positive attitude, mentoring others through the green belt process, and has great dedication to her team.

"They motivate me to come to work every day," she said.

Although Jacque has had many successes in her career, she considers raising her children to be good and productive people her highest achievement. Her strong work ethic, positive attitude, and dedication to her family and mission make her an excellent asset to the complex.
