Custodial services reduced Published Sept. 28, 2007 75th Civil Engineer Squadron HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- The 75th Civil Engineering will reduce custodial services in order to redistribute funds to other mission critical maintenance projects effective Oct. 1. "This necessary Air Force initiative helps provide the proper maintenance to systems such as heating and air conditioning, water, electricity, and structural repair to roofs and walls," said Capt. Eric Kom, 75th Civil Engineer Squadron Maintenance flight. Service cuts include trash removal and carpet shampooing to most facilities. Frequencies will be reduced in some of the higher priority facilities. Carpet vacuuming will continue and trash bag liners will be distributed via your facility manager through Civil Engineering Self-Help in Bldg. 820. Trashcan liners can be picked up on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. By curtailing and reducing these services the Air Force will save a significant amount of money to reallocate to mission critical projects. If customers want to continue carpet shampooing, they should contact PARC at 777-4733 and purchase the service with a government purchase card. Customers must use PARC because of contractual obligations. Questions should be directed to the 75th Civil Engineer Squadron, Maintenance Engineering Flight at 777-1218.
