Last month, the 75th Force Support Squadron hosted a month-long fitness extravaganza in honor of National Physical Fitness and Sports month, as proclaimed by President Barack Obama to encourage Americans to take control of their health and wellness by making physical activity an important part of their daily lives.

To add fun and incentive to May Fitness Month activities, the Warrior Health and Fitness Center created a Bingo game with a grand prize of a home fitness machine.

Participants were given a Bingo card and a calendar of events for the month of May, which included seminars, clinics, training camps and special events, and were challenged to complete as many events as possible to fill in each Bingo square. For every Bingo square completed, participants had their name put in a drawing for a Life Fitness Upright Bike.

Col. Patrick Higby, 75th Air Base Wing commander, had the honor of drawing the lucky winner's name -- Paul Hulet of the 505th Combat Sustainment Squadron.

The fitness center staff believes Hulet deserved the win.

"He participated in every event planned for May fitness month and completely filled in his Bingo card," said 75th FSS fitness staff member, Katherine Purser. "Paul is also recognized at the fitness center for being the Spotlight Member of the month."

The fitness center staff said the activities of May Fitness Month aimed to serve all needs of the base population.

"Taking care of Airmen and their families as well as the civilian population was one of our goals in planning something for everyone," Purser said.
