The keynote address at the 2010 Transformation Symposium at the Base Theater will be presented by a nationally acclaimed educator who chose to stay in the inner city and influence students for the better.

Monday morning at 7:30, author Salome Thomas-El will open the first ever Continuous Process Improvement event aimed at developing leadership, sustaining the Voluntary Protection Program, problem solving and executive management. Several base initiatives including the Production/Operational Success, Base Support Services Success and Administrative Success will also be included.

Participants can expect to find break out sessions on these important models for sustaining Team Hill success and an invigorating presentation by the speaker, Thomas-El, who is the dynamic force behind such books as "I Choose to Stay: A Black Teacher Refuses to Desert the Inner City" and "The Immortality of Influence."

Giving vision to anyone who faces the myriad of obstacles in leading Team Hill to transformation, the conference will offer an opportunity to refine those skills employees bring with them to improve the processes in each part of the base to which they contribute.

The keynote speaker, break out sessions and rubbing elbows with other like-minded individuals is a sure way to understand the power each brings to transform the workplace.

Mark Johnson, Ogden Air Logistics Center vice director, encourages all employees to attend.
