Whether you're worried about your fitness test results or fitting into that new swimsuit, the newest program at the Warrior Fitness Center is here to help and maybe add a little kick start of its own.

Adrenaline Rush, which begins on July 6, is a boot camp designed to help participants get lean and strong with a personalized workout developed by Devin Gongora, a group contractor for the fitness center and certified National Academy of Sports Medicine personal trainer.

"(Adrenaline Rush) is the first of its kind," Gongora said. We've only done two sample trials so far.

The program, which lasts six weeks, will feature strategies fir working efficiently, creative ways to tone problem areas and gaining strength and endurance. To achieve all of this, Gongora's program will focus on both weight lifting and cardio.

"You've got to do both -- the weight lifting and the cardio -- to achieve your goals," Gongora said.

Adrenaline Rush will include workouts using free weights, body bars, resistance bands, X-bikes, circuit-style training, cardio, kettlebells, medicine balls, free motion machines and other equipment.

The class can be personally tailored to all skill levels, Gongora added.

During the trial runs, which lasted four weeks each, Gongora said they had an average of four inches lost. "We've had several active duty members pass the new PT test," she added.

You can catch your own Adrenaline Rush either by dropping in on scheduled days or signing up for the full six week session. Both drop-ins and six week days include an hour long boot camp workout.

Six week sessions also include a customized weight training workout plan, specialized diet recommendations, measurements, a free T-shirt, and $10 off of a personal training session with Gongora.

·Drop-in days - Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9 a.m. and Tuesdays at 4 p.m. in the upstairs cardio room. Cost is $6 per class.

·6 Week Session: One or two sessions a week - Tuesdays at 5 a.m. or 5:30 p.m. and Thursdays at 7 p.m. in the Bubble. Cost is $45 for one session a week and $65 for two sessions a week.

Gongora also notes that those who sign up for the six weeks may attend the drop-in sessions once they have attended the initial start-up day. Adrenaline Rush is also available by appointment with groups of four or more.
