Looking for a way to beat the winter blues? Come check out what Utah has to offer at the Wingman Winter Recreation and Travel Expo on Nov. 17.

From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Information, Tickets and Travel office along with Wingman Advocates will be hosting an expo at the Warrior Fitness Center, complete with entertainment, over 40 wellness resources and great deals on vacations, hotels and fun.

The expo will include information on "all discounted tickets, all the things going on in the local area," Paula Speth, director of ITT, said.

Also included in the event will be wellness resources such as the University of Utah, the American Cancer Society, Clark Planetarium and Safe Harbor.

"Wellness is also about feeling good about yourself and that's why we included the travel side of things," said LaRue "Soup" Campbell, a wingman advocate and member of the 309th Aircraft Maintenance Group. "Relaxing in an environment that's not stressful is just wonderful."

Other feel-good activities represented at the expo will include a live DJ, the Layton High School Lancelles drill team and displays by event sponsors.

If you're feeling the need to get away this winter, the expo will feature information on all of Utah's ski resorts, Disney discounts, cruises, bed and breakfast retreats and more. There will also be a model train display courtesy of Ogden's Union Station and information on local fun hotspots such as Boondocks and iFly in Ogden.

If that's not incentive enough to stop by, there will also be prize drawings and giveaways to include ski resort tickets and more. "We give away $5,000 in prizes," Speth said.

"We find that it's a very important event that all should attend," Campbell added.

The expo is open to anyone with access to the base. For more information, please contact the ITT Office at (801) 777-3525.
