Holocaust Observance volunteers Published Jan. 7, 2011 By Equal Opportunity Office HILL AIR FORCE BASE -- The Equal Opportunity Office acts as advisers on behalf of the commander for special ethnic observances and events throughout the year. The EOO is calling for volunteers to assist with the Holocaust Observance, May 1-7. In order to properly plan and commemorate this observance, the EOO is requesting that each organization canvas its staff for volunteers who would like to chair or help with this event. Committees are open to all base personnel, their family members, retirees and civilians. You do not have to ascribe to a particular group to participate. All that is required is a passion to enlighten and educate others on the contributions this group has made to society. Weekly committee meetings will be held in the EO Office, Building 1294 South End; date and time to be determined by the committee. All that is required is a passion to recognize the legacies of those who endured this tragedy as well as recognize the contributions of those who survived. To volunteer or for more information, contact Master Sgt. Sonya Hildebrand at (801) 777-3516 or Chet Mitchell at (801) 777-4858.
