Col. Scott Stapp, commander of the Ogden Air Logistics Center Aerospace Sustainment Directorate, officiated at a civilian awards ceremony Jan. 19 as Mark Bailey was surprised with the honor. He serves as chief, F-16 Modernization Flight, 501st Aircraft Sustainment Wing.

Bailey's civilian honor was one of two selected from the Ogden Air Logistics Center, said Stapp.

Lt. Col. Timothy Dickinson, Chief with the F-16 Programs Branch, said, "Mark Bailey's F-16 modernization section is an award-winning team. They earned 'outstanding' ratings from the last two Headquarters Air Force Material Command IG inspections and consistently receive annual team awards at the center and (major command) level."

He added, "Like any all-star team, you need to have an all-star leader. Mark is successful in building such teams because he has vision, phenomenal technical expertise, and a selfless dedication to his employees."
