Caring for People Forum now May 20 Published May 13, 2011 By 75th Public Affairs Office HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- The 2011 Caring for People Forum has been rescheduled to May 20, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Chapel Annex. Julie Pinchak, Recruitment Coordinator for the event, is asking for those interested in seeing changes in how the Air Force cares for its families to participate. That includes enlisted service members, officers, singles, married individuals with and without children, military members, civilians, family members and retirees. Participants will be divided into groups to identify concerns about the quality of life experienced by Airmen and their families, issues that affect their personal and professional lives, support issues and any gaps therein. The majority of the items the groups come up with will typically be solvable at the installation level. Participants will vote on and forward 10 issues to the major command level at the end of the forum. The major command level will hold a similar review and prioritization process and up to 10 issues will be forwarded to Air Force Headquarters for its 2011 Air Force Caring for People Forum. Working groups at Hill's forum will be as follows: Family Support, Health and Wellness; and Single Airmen Support. Those interested in participating can complete a registration form and return it to the Base Chapel by May 16. You may also turn the form into your first sergeant. The form will ask which of the three working groups you are most interested in participating. Organizers will do their best to place people in their selected working groups. Participants will be notified via e-mail which group they've been selected to participate in with additional pertinent details. For questions or more information about the Caring for People Forum, please contact Julie Pinchak at (801) 564-5249. People with questions once they've completed and turned in the registration form can contact Chaplain (Maj.) Daniel Waterman or Chaplain (Capt.) Mark Nevius at (801) 777-2106.
