Holiday Weight Maintenance Challenge!

The AFMC Freeze the Gain Holiday Challenge (FTG) is a command-wide program designed to help the AFMC workforce increase awareness of healthy lifestyle habits. Each participant's goal is to maintain, not gain, weight during the holiday season. An amazing resource, the "Eat Right for Life" book, will be awarded for participants that weigh-out within two pounds of their starting weight, as well as attend the two FTG classes taught by Civilian Health Promotion Services. These classes include: Stress Management for the Holidays, and Lose Your Excuse- Tips for a Healthy Holiday. The challenge spans from November 14, 2011 - January 3, 2012.

  • Discover creative approaches to inspire physical activity
  • Gain awareness of smart eating strategies for the holidays
How to Complete the Challenge and Receive the "Eat Right for Life" Book:

Enroll online at www.AFMCWellness.com between 12 OCT 11 - 11 NOV 11. Print your enrollment certificate and bring it to the Official Weigh-In.

  • Active Duty do not need to take the online Health Risk Assessment to enroll in FTG.
  • Civilian employees need a current Health Risk Assessment to enroll in FTG. To complete a Health Risk Assessment, log onto www.AFMCWellness.com .
Once your Health Risk Assessment is complete go to the homepage and under programs select 'FTG Enroll Here'. In the lower left hand corner click 'Yes Enroll' and print the certificate as record of your enrollment.

Attend an official FTG Weigh-In during 2-11 NOV 11 (See weigh in schedule below). Bring your enrollment certificate to the weigh-in, and receive your food and activity log book. We will enter your weight into your online FTG Status for you to track.

Attend Stress Management for the Holidays AND Lose your Excuse- Tips for a Healthy Holiday class between 14 NOV 11- 3 JAN 12. Class attendance at both classes is mandatory to be eligible for the book. Don't forget to sign in!

Attend an official FTG Weigh-Out during 4 - 13 JAN 12. Gain no more than TWO POUNDS (<2lbs.) of your initial weight, and the PRIZE is YOURS!
