U.S. Air Force Academy Band, Rampart Winds, to perform

Rampart Winds, a woodwind quintet from the United States Air Force Academy Band, will be performing in Utah on March 2-5.

The five musicians have come together to spread the good news about the U.S. Air Force and Air Force Academy through their instruments which include a flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and horn.

There will be three performances throughout the Top of Utah and those performances will all be free of charge.

Rampart Winds first performance will be March 2 at 7:30 p.m. during the Temple Square Recital Series located in the Assembly Hall in Temple Square. For more information about this concert or to reserve tickets, contact Marilyn Lorensen at 801-240-3736.

On March 4 at 7 p.m., Rampart Winds will be performing at Peery's Egyptian Theater in Ogden. For more information on this event or to reserve tickets contact the Peery's Egyptian box office at 801-689-8700.

The final Utah performance will be March 5 at 7 p.m. at the University of Utah, Libby Gardner Hall. Rampart Winds will be doing a collaborative concert with the Utah Youth Orchestras. The performances by Rampart Winds are highly interactive and the elements of teamwork and excellence exemplified in each show represent the finest in our military.

These concerts will feature the works of Mozart, Francaix, Jansons, Sousa and many more patriotic favorites.
