HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- In a recent message, Air Force Sustainment Center Commander, Lt. Gen. Stacey Hawkins, emphasized the importance of a Campaign on Standards. This initiative serves as a reminder for every military member of their commitment to the profession of arms and challenges all AFSC personnel to uphold professionalism and excellence as they serve our great nation.
Lt. Gen. Hawkins shared, "We are living in an era of Great Power Competition and a shifting strategic environment; how we present ourselves to others gives them an indication of how we approach our mission." As representatives of the United States, our actions and demeanor are noticed by the world, emphasizing the importance of maintaining our operational effectiveness through responsible decisions and accountability at every level.
To refocus our formations, 75th ABW Airmen will be subject to open rank dress and appearance inspections, along with a formal records review of medical waivers and religious accommodations. Airmen will also be required to wear the Air Force service "blues" uniform once a month, starting immediately. By upholding our core values and leading by example, our commitment to excellence and professionalism will inspire those around us.
Please remember that your actions reflect the trust placed in us by our nation. Together, we can make a difference and uphold the standards that define us as Airmen.
I also invite you to review the importance of customs and courtesies during the playing of reveille, To the Colors, retreat, and taps.
