Just ahead of the Memorial Day weekend—the unofficial start of summer—the 75th Air Base Wing Safety Office presented Hill’s inaugural Safety Fest 2024 at The Landing and surrounding parking lots. The event, which ran from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., aimed to highlight safety practices for both on-duty and off-duty personnel, as well as during recreational activities.

Safety Fest 2024 provided an opportunity for attendees to engage with safety experts, explore new technologies, and learn valuable safety tips. The event catered to everyone within the base community, emphasizing safety awareness across all levels.

Throughout the day, participants actively participated in live seminars, witnessed safety demonstrations, and interacted with more than 40 vendors showcasing cutting-edge, safety-related technology.

Adam Sandbek, lead safety manager with Hill’s 75th Air Base Wing Safety Office, expressed his hope that attendees enjoyed Safety Fest and were inspired to adopt safer behaviors. He also expressed gratitude for the vendor support and the contributions of all those involved in making the event a success.
