HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- Starting April 1, the Hillcrest Dining Facility (DFAC) will shift its food service operations from building 519 to The Landing in building 450. The move is essential to facilitate repairs, including the installation of a new HVAC system. These renovations are expected to last 180 days.
“While we recognize that the temporary relocation of the Hillcrest Dining Facility may pose an inconvenience, it’s essential to ensure the long-term integrity of our infrastructure,” said Moses Thompson, 75th Force Support Squadron sustainment chief, “The installation of a new HVAC system is critical for maintaining a functional and efficient facility. Also, the facility will showcase an enhanced look with new carpet, tiling, ceiling, seating areas and restrooms.”
During this period, only military cardholders will have access to the relocated DFAC. Unfortunately, civilian employees won’t be able to dine there due to the smaller kitchen space to process the large volume of meals. Despite the inconvenience, the DFAC assures patrons that food quality and service will remain consistent.
Meal hours will remain unchanged (unless otherwise posted):
Monday-Friday: Breakfast from 5:30 to 8 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and dinner from 5 to 7 p.m.
Sunday-Thursday: Midnight meals from 10:30 p.m. to midnight
Weekends and holidays: Breakfast from 9 to 10:30 a.m., lunch from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and dinner from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
