OO-ALC In Focus: Doug Adams

Meet Doug Adams, who has been working for the Ogden Air Logistics Complex since 2016. He began his career with federal service working for the Software Engineering Group, then transitioned to the Staff Offices in 2019, where he now works for the Business Offices. Doug is an Analyst for the Requirements Review and Depot Determination team, otherwise known as R2D2.

Doug originally hales from Maryland, where he grew up in Prince George’s County. However, he has spent most of his adult life in Layton, Utah where he volunteers with Davis School District. He frequently volunteers at Parkside Elementary in Clinton, mentoring children in basic robotics and coding skills. Additionally, he helps with Weber State’s, “Mission to Mars” STEM program and judges science fairs for children from the 5th grade up to the 12th grade. Doug says he feels he is at his best when he can mentor and teach kids using LEGO Mindstorms, an intuitive, interactive fun way for kids to learn basic coding.

Doug is a man of many talents and interests. He enjoys listening to podcasts and audio books. He loves animals and plays the occasional tune on the piano. Whenever he plays, his bunny, Beanie, is never far away. You can find Beanie sitting at Doug’s feet enjoying every note!  When we asked Doug what he felt was his greatest achievement was up to this point in his life, Doug didn’t even pause to think. He immediately said his greatest accomplishment was having the opportunity to assist his parents as they aged.

Doug loves working at Hill Air Force Base! He particularly enjoys successfully automating processes and performing analysis. He loves working for the OO-ALC because he says, “I work with really great people!”
