The University of Arizona and Hill Air Force Base have created an Education Partnership Agreement that establishes collaborations for internships, Interdisciplinary Capstone projects, student training as part of the new Defense Civilian Training Corps program, and potentially faculty research. Representatives from Hill visited campus July 11 to sign the agreement and tour engineering labs.

“I’m really excited to see the University of Arizona on board with us. The institution’s history of research is tremendous,” said Edward Ayer, Air Force Sustainment Center's senior executive service director of engineering and technical management, who signed the agreement for Hill.

David Hahn, the Craig M. Berge Dean of the College of Engineering, signed the agreement on behalf of the university. “When I look at Hill’s broad portfolio, we have so many opportunities to collaborate around education. We’re excited to have this day. It’s really an honor for this university,” he said.
