STARBASE Hill needs women mentors from Hill Air Force Base to mentor students in grades 5-7 during its all-girls STEM summer camp held June 5-8.

The STARBASE program is part of a nationwide Department of Defense effort to excite school children in science, technology, engineering, and math. There are numerous STARBASE sites around the country, but only a handful are on military installations.

The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day and will offer activities and experiments STEM areas like physics, robotics, chemistry, and engineering. Mentors can volunteer for the entire camp or just part of it.

STARBASE is located at 5731 E Ave. in building 460 on base.

If you would like to be a mentor and help young women in STEM, please email starbasehilldirector@gmail.com or call 801-586-7493.
