The 75th Security Forces Squadron at Hill will partner with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency this Saturday, Oct. 29, for the second iteration of National Prescription Take Back Day 2022.

National Prescription Take Back Day is an initiative by the DEA to help counter the opioid overdose pandemic plaguing the United States by enlisting the help of law enforcement agencies across the country to collect prescription medication that is expired or no longer needed.

Anyone wishing to dispose of prescription medication can do so anonymously at several community drop-off locations manned by law enforcement agencies during the prescribed date and time without any repercussions.

At Hill, the 75th SFS will be operating two drop-off locations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Base Exchange located at 5845 East Avenue (building 412)
• Commissary located at 7451 6th Street (building 400)

If you have old prescription medications to drop off, it is asked that you remove the label prior to depositing. If you have liquid medications, please ensure the cap is tightly sealed to prevent leakage. No intra-venous solutions, injectables, or syringes will be accepted.

All drop-offs are 100% anonymous. No questions or requests for identification will be made.
