Editor's Note: The “AFSC Frontlines" series is a recurring feature that puts the spotlight on some of the civilian and military Airmen on the "frontlines" supporting our mission, people and families during the COVID-19 crisis.

Franklin Newbery is the site manager of Transient Alert for the 75th Operations Support Squadron. As a DAF contractor, Franklin is responsible to inspect, service, repair, and oversee all DoD and non-DoD transient aircraft that land at Hill AFB. He is one of the first people flight crews visiting Hill AFB meet, and, according to his supervisor, "he sets the tone of professionalism and outstanding service Team Hill is known for ensuring the aircraft are safe, airworthy and the aircrew have all the support they need." His hobbies include hunting, welding and hiking.

Franklin's experience working on the COVID-19 frontlines.:

"Basically, I make sure that all the personnel and logistics are in place and ready to get the mission done.  With COVID, I’ve had to coordinate and make sure my team maintains social distancing while also making sure the mission isn’t affected."

Franklin, Team Hill thanks you for your service!
